Why"GRASSETTI"
The Agriturismo Grassetti is a farm holiday in
the Jonic coast of Calabria, the "foot" of Italy.
It
has two structures:
the MASSERIA is a old peasant house recently restructured and
in activity from 2001. Here there are 45 Ha of space with a wood of
11 Ha which arrive at the sea, and all around fruit trees and grass.
The Jonic Sea is at 2 km. The MASSERIA has 7 apartments with bathroom
and fridge. Who run the Agriturismo Grassetti is a family who choice
this place to live and work.
The
PUNTO RISTORO is the second structure of the Agriturismo Grassetti.
It is a restaurant/bar connected to the MASSERIA through a old farmed
way of 4 km where is located also the family chapel dedicated to S.
Rocco. It is near to the old village of Montegiordano (CS).
The
Agriturismo Grassetti organize gastronomic tours in the neighbouring
farms.
The food offered in the Agriturismo Grassetti is with biologic ingredient
and is cooked in the traditional way.
It's possible buy tipical products like cheese, bread, oil, jam.

What can you do
The Agriturismo Grassetti is near the most important
cities of the south of Italy. His position permit to reach other italian
region in less of 15 minutos, Basilicata e Puglia are very near. Matera
(80 km, one hour with car), Taranto (the same), Sibari e Metaponto 40
km each.
Also near the Agriturismo Grassetti there is the Pollino Park, one of
the most intersting park of Italy, with the "Pino Loricato"
who live just here.
The arbresh communities also live here from the 1500 when their national
hero, Giorgie Kastriota Skandemberg saved part of his fellow-citizen
from the turkish invasion.
